When my daughter was an infant up until around 2 years, she suffered from severe reflux and was put on reglan to control it. after around 2 years old and coming off of the bottle she doesn't have the reflux anymore; she also wouldn't drink milk anymore after being off the bottle. She occasionally will have milk in cereal from time to time. She also has severe asthma and uses daily inhalers, and nebulizers to control her symptoms. She is 4 years old now and has been over the past month vomitting and turning bright red in the face every time she eats american cheese and she spits out milk from her cereal and won't drink milk at all. Could this be a dairy allergy? She has no reactions to ice cream or yogurt (she also does still at age 4 have severe asthma). It seems strange.
My 7 month old has silent reflux, mild ecazma and suffers from stomach cramps during feeding. However, these stomach cramps do not happen at every feed. If she were milk protein intolerent would the stomach cramps happen every time? thanks
My 6 week old son has been diagnosed with severe milk/ milk protein allergy. He was put on Neocate and within 2 days he was constipated to the point of having to use a glycerin suppository to produce a movement. The movement was extremely hard and green to start and then as it continued became more creamy yet still green. I'm not concerned about the green coloring as i'm sure it is caused by the fact that this particular formula is amino acid based and higher in many proteins than typical formula. However I have noticed many times that you suggest lactulose to relieve the constipation. Is there anything else that you suggests? Lactulose if i'm not mistaken is a prescription and i'm curious as to rather or not a child can actually become dependent on such medications and therefore continually require those to produce bowel movements? Thank You.
